Dizziness is one of the most common symptoms in elderly. Various vestibular disorders, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, neuritis, Meniere’s disease, migraine, can cause dizziness. The system consists peripheral organs inner ear and extensive central nervous from cerebellum brainstem to thalamus cortex. In particularly, sensory input plays a important role spatial cognitive abilities memory navigation. elderly, decline, mild impairment, Alzheimer’s disease other dementia, very frightening that worsens quality life. It possible evaluate dysfunction through function test, there are various evaluation methods for function. evidence has been gradually accumulating suggest balance or ‘vestibular system,’ might also be development dementia. Animal studies, pathologic imaging evidence, behavioral assays on relationship between diseases related dizziness supporting that. Given treated physical-therapy rehabilitation, identifying treating older adults with without impairment may provide potential benefits preventing, mitigating decline.
